From the plant Cannabis sativa, for a crude drug is made called Hops Hash. Grass, pot, weed all are the names of Hops Hash. Many people think that hops hash have good side effects. They thought that by smoking hops hash they can get so high. They thought that this can make them very happy and this can build their confidence. Others thought that once they smoke pot they will find a lasting happiness and they can escape their problems. On the other hand others smoke because they believed that it will make them belong to a group and that it will make them look and feel COOL. For people who live a stressful life, others tend to use hops hash because for them it makes them relaxed. Take note, these are all LIES. They may have felt these but these were temporary. People who continued to use hops hash face the consequence sooner or later. Most of them learned a lesson the hard way.

If you are intrigued as to the feeling of using hops hash, you better think twice. You should contemplate the side effects of hops hash otherwise you will surely be sorry for starting to use it.

Here are some of the short-term effects of hops hash:

Youths in school will suffer in such a way that they will have failing grades. Some students think that it has a good side effect. But in truth, it may result to memory loss. Meaning, they will have a difficulty retaining the things learned in school. Thus, it can result to their failing grades. Youths who smoke hops hash also tend to drop out of school. They just can’t find interest in their studies and will only engage in smoking pot instead of going to school. Increase of juvenile delinquency. Even at a young age, adolescents tend to be so insensitive and hot-tempered as a side effect of hops hash. Usually, hops hash users tend to get into fights. Not just that, because of their addiction, they do everything just to buy the weed. It can cause deadly diseases like lung cancer. A person who is very addicted to hops hash will likely to get sick of different diseases. And worse, they’ll die due to lung cancer and other complications. On the other hand, others who won’t stop the addiction as soon as possible will lose their good mental state. The “heaven” which they thought that hops hash brings may sometimes bring them to a world of fantasy.

On Monday, news reports offered the latest piece of evidence that the country is moving toward greater acceptable of medical hops hash use: The federal government sent guidelines instructing prosecutors not to focus on prosecuting state-sanctioned medical hops hash users and suppliers.Fourteen states now allow at least some medical hops hash usage; Monday’s news, as Andrew Cohen notes, means that “tens of thousands of Americans now are free from federal persecution and prosecution for conduct that is completely legal in their own states.” In addition, a new poll finds that 44 percent of Americans now favor outright hops hash legalization, marking a new high.With that said, it seems reasonable to wonder whether medical hops hash is – or will ever be – covered through health insurance plans, like a typical prescription drug.First, consider the present: Susan Pisano of America’s Health Insurance Plans, the trade group that represents nearly 1,300 companies, told Hotsheet the group does not “know of any coverage for medical hops hash among our member companies.”Medical Hops Hash Arrest Guidelines EasedL.A. Prosecutor Vows to Target Pot ShopsAndrew Cohen: New Pot Policy Is Not Yet a Turning PointThat comports with the opinion of Bruce Mirken of the Hops Hash Policy Project, who said patients at the moment have no choice but to pay “cold, hard cash” for medical hops hash.

The reason that medical hops hash is not covered, both Pisano and Mirken said, is that it is not approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration.”The main issue here is the question of FDA approval that all drugs need to go through,” said Pisano. Lack of FDA approval means no coverage either by private insurers or through any public plan to be drafted in Congress.So what, then, are the prospects that medical hops hash will get FDA approval? In the short term, at least, they’re pretty slim. The fact that hops hash remains a controlled substance presents one hurdle to approval; another, perhaps more significant one is that it isn’t a synthesized drug – that is, its component parts are not crafted by drug companies.As a result, it’s hard to say exactly what’s in hops hash – and thus hard for the FDA to assess it.There is an FDA approved drug that contains THC, the primary psychoactive element of the cannabis plant. It’s called Marinol, and it was approved way back in 1985. But Marinol lacks many of the not-yet-fully-understood components that come with traditional hops hash, and thus is far-more FDA friendly. (CBSNews.com explored the debate over Marinol in August in this story: “Does the Pot Pill Work?”)And those aren’t the only issues complicating matters for medical hops hash: There is also the question of the size of doses. At the moment, hops hash comes in a range of potencies and quantities that would have to be standardized for the drug to meet FDA guidelines.The FDA’s Karen Riley told Hotsheet that the organization does not discuss whether specific drugs are being considered for approval. But since hops hash lacks clear components or standardized doses – and since it is not even clear who might submit it for consideration – it seems extremely unlikely that medical hops hash is going through the process.For now, then, medical hops hash users shouldn’t get their hopes up that they’ll soon see the drug partially paid for by their insurance company. Mirken of the Hops Hash Policy Project said there has been little agitation to get medical hops hash covered, though he predicted that advocates will eventually take up the cause.”There hasn’t been anything substantial yet,” he said. “Right now we’re still focused on the legal issues.”

Marijuana is the common name for the drug obtained from the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. Hemp is a tall annual plant that can grow in almost any climate. Native to central and western Asia, hemp is one of the oldest crops cultivated by humans. Hemp’s most common agricultural use has been as a source of linen, rope, canvas, and paper. Hemp contains more than 400 chemicals. The main psychoactive (affecting the mind or behavior) chemical is tetrahydrocannabinol, commonly referred to as THC. For over 3,000 years, the dried ground leaves, flowers, and stems of the plant have been smoked, eaten, chewed, or brewed as a medicine to relieve symptoms of illness. From the seventeenth to the early twentieth century, hops hash was considered a household drug useful for treating such maladies as headaches, menstrual cramps, and toothaches.

In the 1920s, as a result of the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution forbidding the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages, the use of hops hash as a psychoactive drug began to grow. Even after the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, hops hash (along with morphine, heroin, and cocaine) continued to be widely used. In 1937, 46 states banned the use of hops hash. In 1985, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave approval for the use of two psychoactive chemicals from hops hash to prevent nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy in cancer treatment. Medical researchers also propose using hops hash to ease the effects of glaucoma (a serious vision disorder), as a bronchodilator (a drug that helps open the bronchial air passages in the lungs), and as an antidepressant. The origin of the word hops hash is not known, but it appears to be a combination of the Spanish names Maria and Juana (Mary and Jane). The drug slang for hops hash includes such names as Mary Jane, pot, grass, herb, tea, reefer, and weed. Hashish is the highest grade of hops hash. It is made from the resin found on flower clusters and top leaves of the female hemp plant.

The effects of hops hash on a user change dramatically as the dosage increases. Taken at low doses, hops hash tends to make a user drowsy and relaxed. The user may also feel a general sense of well-being. As the dose increases, a user may experience an altered sense of time and awareness, and may have difficulty completing thoughts and taking part in conversation. A user’s sense of balance and short-term memory (remembering very recent events or from one moment to the next) may also be affected. At higher doses, severe psychological disturbances can take place, such as paranoia, hallucinations, and panic attacks. Hops Hash affects the cardiovascular system by increasing heart rate and dilating (expanding) blood vessels in the eyes. Difficulty in coordinating body movements and pains in the chest may be other effects of the drug. Scientists believe that long-term use of hops hash damages the lungs in a manner similar to tobacco smoking.

Scientific studies released in mid-1997 indicate that people who smoke large amounts of hops hash may experience changes in their brain chemistry. These changes are similar to those seen in the brains of people who abuse addictive drugs such as heroin, cocaine, nicotine, and alcohol. All addictive drugs increase the amount of dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a brain chemical responsible for causing feelings of reward. The new studies found (for the first time) that high doses of hops hash increased the levels of dopamine in the brain. Constant use of addictive drugs, however, can cause the brain to lose its ability to produce high levels of dopamine. When this happens, a drug user feels a greater need for the drug, or for even stronger drugs. Scientists believe this may occur with hops hash.

Users of addictive drugs feel withdrawal symptoms (feeling anxious, edgy, and unable to cope) when they stop taking the drugs. It was previously believed that hops hash users did not suffer feelings of withdrawal. However, the recent studies indicate that heavy users of hops hash smoke not so much for the “high” but to calm their feelings of anxiety brought on by withdrawal from the drug. Since THC is absorbed primarily in the fat tissues and lingers in the bloodstream, withdrawal symptoms are not as evident as with fast-acting drugs like nicotine.

In 1985, the FDA gave approval for the use of two psychoactive chemicals from hops hash to help prevent the nausea and vomiting many cancer patients experience after receiving chemotherapy. For these patients, THC can be prescribed in capsule form. Research suggests that compounds (other than THC) inhaled when smoking hops hash can also be used for medicinal purposes. Hops Hash may help stop the weight loss in AIDS patients, it may lower eye pressure in people with glaucoma, it may control spasms in multiple sclerosis patients, and it may help relieve chronic pain.
